I have independant contractors who sell for me. They are paid commission. I saw that I was to enter these people as a vendor but would like to be able to pay them with direct deposit since they are all over the U.S. working.
Can someone help me? Is the direct deposit feature able to be used this way?
Thanks for your help

I'm actually looking for the same answer. Im a contractor and my client wants to pay me via direct deposit. I've asked the bill pay service if they can do direct deposit to my account but they said they can't (bofa). So now im looking to see if there is a way to do it thru quickbooks.

Direct Deposit through QB is for employees. Using it for 1099 contractors isn't a good idea because you would have to list the individual/company as an employee. That means you wouldn't be able to have QB produce your 1099s at the end of the year. It also leads to issues if you are ever audited by the IRS.

Many banks have the ability to transfer or wire funds to individuals. BofA has different rules in different states. I can send money for clients with NV based BofA accounts using a bill paying/business tools function. I can't do that for WA or FL BofA clients. Visiting a specialist in a local branch office may yeild insights and possible solutions.

You could also use online pay systems such as Paypal.
